This pretty, self-catering Gascony cottage dates back to the early 1800s. It offers charm, comfort and quiet. It is well-equipped and has many original features, beamed ceilings, antique furniture and comfortable fireside seating. It is set at the end of a farm lane. The setting is secluded but not isolated. It's only 20 min. to the A64 autoroute (Pau & Toulouse airports about 1 hr.). The front garden is south-facing and bordered by mature trees and shrubs. To the west is an open area of lawn and meadow with a sun terrace. You'll find plenty of holiday reading, local maps, guidebooks & games. There are bikes, boules, BBQ and table-tennis.
This is a perfect base for active holidays - or a quiet holiday for 2.

The cottage is ideally located for walking, exploring – or simply relaxing. It nestles in the tranquil, rolling countryside of the Hautes-Pyrénées within easy reach of the Pyrenean peaks, national parks and the lush forests and undulating landscapes of the foothills. It lies 12km north-west of Tournay and 12km south of the popular market town of Trie-sur-Baïse with its patisseries, bars, cafes, supermarkets, newsagent & cheerful wine shop. Colourful farmers' markets are held daily in the area. Supermarkets & hypermarkets are within 20 min.
