Secluded Gascony Cottage near the Central Pyrenees

A traditional country cottage in beautiful south-west France, peacefully set at the edge of a hamlet. Enjoy long views over fields and woods to the snow-capped central Pyrenees. The gîte is comfortably and attractively furnished. It has a sunny, south-facing lawned garden and a shady terrace.

This pretty, self-catering Gascon cottage was built around 1820. It offers charm, comfort and quiet. It is well-equipped and has many period features, beamed ceilings, antique furniture and comfortable fireside seating. It stands alone at the end of a farm lane. The setting is secluded, but handy for the autoroute and airports (Toulouse and Pau are about 1 hr.). The front garden is enclosed by a hedge and bordered by mature trees and shrubs providing shade. To the west is a larger, open area of lawn and meadow with a sun terrace. You'll find plenty of reading material, maps, guidebooks and games, bikes, boules, BBQ and table-tennis.
This is a perfect base for active holidays - or a quiet holiday for 2.
